Many readers know that I started blogging over 6 years ago. Some bloggers sing praises of twitter. I really do not know.
So I am asking you the readers – should I twitter? If I get enough positive responses then I will twit (or whatever the verb is).

Give it a try and see how many start to follow… then see how many continue to follow. Good bloggers don’t necessarily make good twitters.
Heck ya. I took the plunge and quite frankly I feel the way I did 2 years ago when I launched my blog. I see my blog as for some of my reflective thinking. My Twitter feed is for my true weblogging. FYI I’m @Doctor_V if you wind up on Twitter
It’s tweet. =)
It depends on what your reason for Tweeting is, really? For me, I tend to use it for family and friends. Letting them know what I am doing *AT* this moment, also for quick communication for a number of friends that I need to be in contact with.
For me, it’s almost a way of life these days….So, I would say go for us. Just understand why you are using it, or else you will simply let it go by the way side.
Cheers!

DB, I think tweeting would be something useful for your students, think of it as being similar to an overhead page. I do not mean to discourage you to try it. But, it is a different tool than this form of weblogging. I think you should try it, but evaluate it carefully.

I use it for microblogging, posts in my RSS reader that are not interesting enough to write a post about sometimes get twitted. Other reasons why I use twitter is to promote my blog and get links and new ideas. You can also use it to let others know your whereabouts, a kind of replacement for chatting.
Most of all I loose a considerable amount of time with twitting, just fun.

Do what works for you. I’ve chosen not to, at least for now.
