		<description>The distinction between liberal and conservative has been blurred since Republicans who call themselves conservatives have been in power.  Many of the pet issues of social &quot;conservatives&quot; do not represent the policies of the limited government conservatives.  

If the Democrats were somehow able to develop a coherent theme, they might be able to exploit this divide.  To date, though, they have not.</description>
