Workouts by month - Goal 200 from 11/1/09 through 10/31/10
Doing Grand Rounds has increased my usual compulsivity about my site. I assume that I will get increased traffic today. So I checked the link to Grand Rounds and found that the right hand column was missing.
So …
I went to the WordPress site and discovered that there was an update – 1.2.1 – which fixes some bugs. I downloaded and uploaded – and then everything seemed to work.
Also a very nice reader pointed out that sometimes I get weird characters. He told me
You might want to change the site’s charset to UTF-8 instead of iso8859-1. I’ve noticed several “special” characters such as the apostrophe in “don’t” have been appearing as UTF-8.
So I had to find where the charset was in my program. Fortunately I found it – and from now on we should not have a weird character problem.
If these fixes did not work – please let me know. It looks like the comments work much better know, the right column appears appropriately, and the weird characters have disappeared. What a great day!
