While there are those among us who feel that marijuana should be available for general use, this case is limited to its medical use in certain situations.
As noted, there are now seven states with laws legalizing its use for certain medical conditions, with seven more ready to do the same.
I don’t feel there should be any valid objections to marijuana’s limited uses, particularly since it will be available only under a doctor’s prescription and supervision.
There is substantial evidence that marijuana can help in alleviating pain, particularly for those with terminal conditions. Oncologists also have found it to be useful in controlling nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy.
The verdict may not come until late this year, or perhaps not until next year. This case is something we should all support; the case is quite compelling, with no
potential for a slippery slope or abuse such as we have seen with Oxycontin.
There is plenty of evidence to support the medicinal properties of marijuana. Two of the most blatantly obvious are aiding with nausea, and aiding in insomnia. I am sure you can google and find tons of reputable source’s discussing the medicinal properties of marijuana.
This marijuana legalization is like approving the use of a dangerous drug by everybody. I can’t tolerate something like that. It’s outrageous! Those who use to say that drug legalization will end in a lesser use of them are mistaken. Teenagers are in unprecedented crises, they do not know who they are and they will try to find the answer in drugs. If they are legal, it’s better.

As far as I’m concerned, decriminalize it.
However, as far as MEDICAL use is concerned, how much evidence is there to support its use?
In particular, is there any evidence to support its use in benign pain syndromes?
