Activity is good!

The Active Life

I have a confession to make: For too long, I believed you had to be a hardcore jock to be fit. But I've learned my lesson - solid research shows that moderate physical activity can reduce the risk of heart disease and early death.

This article has a great message. If you are a total couch potato, get off that couch. Start walking and moving. The activity will help you even if you do not lose weight !

This evening ABC News had a similar story, talking about the health benefits of walking.... like it was big news. Haven't we known this for years? What planet have these people been living on?

Exercisers are from Jupiter, couch potatoes are from Saturn? No, someone has used that concept. We should all know that information, but we do not all walk. Philosophically, I will repeat the message incessantly. Repetition sometimes works. If one person gets out and walks tomorrow because of this blog, or the ABC show, then that is one more victory.
