I am currently in my third year of success. I never reached obesity (BMI <30), nonetheless, I have lost 30 pounds and kept it off. As I read this article I recognized several important issues. I have developed my own dietary modifications. My diet is not strict, but I do eat less high calorie stuff. I do exercise very regularly. I do think about when I am going to "cheat", accept the fun of that cheat, but resume my healthier eating immediately thereafter. Read this article, it may help you. Posted byComments: Hi there! Thanks for the article! I read it with interest because I used to be an obese child and teenager but have managed to lose about 90lbs to get down to a healthy weight for my height... and I managed to keep it off for almost 6 years now... well, I did put on some weight but am still within the healthy weight range because I exercise regularly even though I love eating and cooking. Kudos to you for maintaining your weight too! Posted by: glovefox on August 25, 2002 04:03 AMKudos. I do believe that exercise is a major key. I plan my exercise times carefully each week - this seems to make it easier to not avoid exercise. Most everyone loves to eat, the key is moderation - every good meal does not have to have high calories and carbohydrates. Posted by: db on August 25, 2002 04:31 AMPost a Comment: |
