I don't think I could stand it, but one of my sisters has been in it for three years and is keeping off the weight lost.

Being part of a group with the same concern, and getting an occasional pat on the back, are very powerful incentives for performance. Instead of lecturing "you are overweight" (DuH! If I were anorexic, would I be here? Well, maybe...) you get congratulated for losing even one pound.

It works for many people. It uses logic and works at changing eating habits. I have friends and relatives who have gone to Weight Watchers with great success. Therefore, I will publicize them on my blog.
